The original draft of these principles followed the World Health Organisation's interim guidance on COVID-19, which advised a solution of 1 part bleach to 9 parts water, giving a total active ingredient of 0.5% sodium hypochlorite when standard household bleach containing 5% sodium hypochlorite is used.
